EPIC – Adapted Swim Lessons/Free Swim
March 16 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Children’s Autism Services of Edmonton have joined with Olympian Swim Club and SCONA Pool to provide adapted swim lessons for children with autism spectrum disorders. These lessons provide a fantastic opportunity for kids to learn the fundamentals of swimming, how to be safe in the water, and can be considered a supplement to improving speech, social skills, self-esteem, and cognitive processing. Swimming lessons and the free swim will occur simultaneously so that children can maximize their time in the pool. Parents are encouraged to attend and get in the water with their children during the free swim portion of the session.
Swimming Lessons are for children between the ages of 5 and 10 years.
Swim Lessons will run for 8 sessions (in 30 minute time slots, Maximum number of participants: 6 per swim class)
