EPIC – Learn to Skate
May 25 @ 12:45 pm - 1:45 pm
Children’s Autism Services of Edmonton have partnered with the Mayfield Figure Skating Club to provide adapted skating lessons for children with autism spectrum disorder. These lessons will be delivered by trained skating coaches, and supported by Children’s Autism Services of Edmonton staff. These lessons provide a fantastic opportunity for kids to learn the fundamentals of skating, and can help improve or maintain a child’s strength, balance, coordination and self-esteem, which in turn may positively impact function, participation and quality of life.
